Sami A. Al Ajmi, Aramco’s senior vice president (A) of Digital and Information Technology, highlights that true transformation is driven by people, not just technology.
For decades, we heavily invested in talent development, sending thousands of Saudis to world-class educational programs.
These individuals have come back with vision, a desire to give back, and a commitment to advance both Aramco and the Kingdom.
Since we started our digital transformation journey at Aramco, we knew at heart that the success of our journey would not come simply from systems or software, because technology alone doesn't transform organizations. People do.
Technology will not replace you.
It will amplify your ability. It will free you to innovate, to create and to lead to drive value.
To make this real, we launched digital literacy programs in partnership with industry leaders and top universities.
Aramco is now the only company with five facilities recognized as Global Digital Lighthouse by the World Economic Forum for their excellence in 4IR technologies.
But, what truly stands out is not the technology.
It is the people.
The ones who learned, adopted, and led.
The true measure of transformation isn’t the sophistication of our technologies. It is the empowerment of our people.
Yes, technology may accelerate our journey, and yes, data may guide us. But, it is human potential, our curiosity, our resilience, and our creativity that will truly transform our future.
