The Hawiyah and Haradh plants
key components of the Kingdom’s gas program, helping to provide:
- Local electricity needs
- Inputs to feedstocks that supply the domestic petrochemical industry.
Together, the two plants are helping shape a lower-carbon future by:
- Replacing crude oil with natural gas in power generation (which could reduce GHG emissions by almost 40 million tons of CO2 per year
- Using gas compression technology to enable production at greater flow rates and increase the production of gas utilized as a reliable source of energy.
Hawiyah and Haradh aim to supply efficient and reliable energy to the world for generations to come.
