Master Gas System: Phase 3 Expansion

Welcome to the Master Gas System, an engineering feat that continues to unlock our vast reserves, transform how we fuel the nation, and revolutionize energy in the Kingdom.
After concluding Phases 1 and 2, the Master Gas System is now in Phase 3 and unprecedented in scope.
It’s one of the world’s largest integrated hydrocarbon networks and one of the most critical infrastructure mega-projects in Aramco’s history. Across sand dunes and through rugged mountains, the Master Gas System is powering the nation, aligned with the Kingdom’s vision in diversifying and growing the economy, and aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the Saudi power sector.
Phase 3 is the largest expansion of the Master Gas System.
We’re collaborating with industry leaders and local suppliers, upgrading and expanding our infrastructure with nearly 4,000 kilometers of new pipelines, new booster gas compression stations, and 17 gas compression trains to deliver 3.15 additional standard cubic feet of gas daily across the Kingdom, further driving the conversion of power plants from oil to natural gas, transforming and diversifying the national energy mix and propelling economic growth.
