Founding Day
Ithra offers variety of events over Founding Day weekend
From falcons to folk art to interactive shows telling the story of Saudi Founding Day, the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture has activities for adults and children alike.
There will be a number of events held at Ithra, such as the “Saudi Falcons” event to learn about different types of falcons and falconry equipment, along with the “Our Heritage is Our Pride” event, which represents Saudi folk songs and arts.
There will be also the “Jewel of the Kingdom” event, an interactive show that includes a number of songs that talk about the Kingdom’s past, which will be accompanied by a performance with drones, telling the story of the Saudi Founding Day.
Ithra will also celebrate Saudi history by presenting “Born a King,” which reveals Prince Faisal’s diplomatic mission that changed history, and “Diyar Hasma,” which presents a number of heroic experiences, customs, and traditions.
Several activities will be available for children inside the Children’s Museum and the Ithra Library, and there will be a Saudi craft booth for families to enjoy. Also, there will be the “Legacy and Antiquities” show and “Our Story,” which is a series of stories about the Kingdom’s regions.
