Aramcons come together to ‘Keep Our Sea Plastic Free’
Employees and dependents come together at Qurrayah Beach to walk the talk when it comes to environmental well-being.
Aramcons in Abqaiq recently took to Qurayyah Beach as part of a “Keep Our Sea Plastic Free” campaign. Sponsored by the Abqaiq Residential and Recreation Services Division, in collaboration with the North Ghawar Producing Department, the event looked to urge people to take action by protecting the environment on a very local level – by removing plastic and marine litter.
The activity sought to not only raise environmental awareness, but also help change negative behaviors that can cause pollution. By working together, community members can help maintain a clean environment for everyone to enjoy.
Some 25 garbage bags of refuse were collected by approximately 60 employees and dependents, who came together to convey the unified message – even wearing branded T-shirts and caps designed for the event to show their teamwork.
With physical distancing maintained during the cleanup, safety was sustained throughout the event and was a priority for all.
